He has written several hits for artists such as Elvis Presley, Merle Haggard, and Bobby Bare to name a few. His first hit song “Alley Oop” was recorded by The Hollywood Argyles in 1960. He is currently 81 years old, 5’11” tall, and 130 lbs. Dallas continues to write music and perform today, mainly at Opryland in Nashville. He is a true legend in the country music world.
