Dumas was best known for his athleticism and highlight-reel dunks, but he also excelled on defense. He was known as a great rebounder and was often tasked with guarding some of the league’s biggest stars, including Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal. In his career, Dumas averaged 8.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game over five seasons with the Suns, Rockets, 76ers, and Lakers.
